I'm new here, but what exactly is Siege of Augusta?

Is it a club, an annual event, a game or something else entirely?

Please forgive my ignorance, but I'm curious.

The Siege of Augusta is an annual gaming convention held on or about the 3rd weekend in January.  It started out as primarily a historical miniatures convention, but, as it has grown, it has branched out into almost all facets of gaming.  They will entertain pretty much anything outside of LARP and Monopoly.  See Norman Schwartz over at Arsenal Games and Hobbies for all the relevant info.

I'm hoping to be there this year showing/playing War of the Ring Collector's Edition.
