I still call dibs on the Jayne-like character when we get to make our own characters.

I'm glad to hear that you all enjoyed it so much  Grin

I had a blast running it, and particularly enjoyed watching the players interact with each other in character. From my perspective it was almost like watching an un-aired episode of Firefly! I think it will be even more enjoyable once everyone has a chance to roll up original characters, too, but I am a touch worried that your crew will consist entirely of Jayne-esque characters  Cheesy

On that note, I'd just like to remind everyone that this situation was somewhat unique. With only two guaranteed sessions, I didn't want to waste too much time walking everyone through character creation - especially since we only have one hard-copy of the book. As it stands now, the crew has been able to cover quite a bit of ground already, and getting straight into the adventure really helped draw people into the game quickly.

Also, while its on my mind, I need to hand out a few additional Plot Points for RP at the end of the session:
C.J. (Captain Donald D. Tyler) - 2 points for agreeing to strike a blow against the Alliance by going along with the Admiral's plan.
Bart (First Mate Rico Hernandez) - 2 points for agreeing to strike a blow against the Alliance by going along with the Admiral's plan.
Landon (Ashley Holt) - 2 points for being a gorram greedy bastard and agreeing to go along with the Admiral's plan.

Lastly, if this is something we want to continue past next Saturday, then we all need to sort out a time and day that will allow all of us to continue our adventures out in the black.

I have an extra copy of the rule book (my personal copy) that you can borrow. I will try to remember to bring it with me tomorrow (Monday).

As a heads up for those that were not there on Monday night. We have decided to take part in the late night gaming at the Bobby Jones store on this coming Saturday. It's a shorter trip for most of the participants among other advantages. This won't be a usual thing, but I imagine we will take advantage of it when we can.

Just a quick reminder: Character creation for the new campaign will be on Monday, January 19th, at the Gordon Highway store. I know that's usually board-game night, but character creation for Serenity is pretty straightforward and should not take very long (about an hour or so). Also, our first "real" game session will be on Sunday, January 24th, after Siege of Augusta is over (sometime after 4 pm).

I'm really glad to know that everyone is enjoying the game/system so far, and I'm looking forward to killing all of your characters having a real campaign up and running.

If you're a fan of the series and don't own it yet, it is on sale at best buy for 20 bucks!

... so... does anyone else think we're gonna have one heck of a time with this game? I mean, our group is pretty dysfunctional, lol.... practically the entire group is crazy or has a deadly enemy. LoL, it will be EVIL!

I sense a large number of players 'buying off' their complications very quickly.
